Protecting Care When Our Community Needs Us Most
If you’ve driven past Montefiore Nyack Hospital recently, you’ve probably noticed cranes, construction equipment and a great deal of activity taking place across campus. While the work is visible, the impact reaches far beyond what can be seen.
Through a combination of federal and state funding, along with the generosity of our philanthropic community, Montefiore Nyack Hospital is making critical investments to strengthen the infrastructure that keeps healthcare available when our community needs it most.
Among the projects currently underway are flood mitigation improvements designed to protect vital systems from severe weather and future storms. A new emergency generator and electrical resiliency enhancements, scheduled to arrive this September, will provide added safeguards against power interruptions and help ensure the Hospital remains fully operational during emergencies.
At the same time, Montefiore Nyack Hospital continues to make significant investments in campus safety and security. Recent enhancements include the installation of Evolv Express® weapons detection technology, upgraded entry-point security, enhanced surveillance and communication systems and WanderGuard technology to help protect vulnerable patients.
These improvements allow the Hospital to better monitor access, respond more quickly to potential concerns and provide greater peace of mind for patients, visitors, physicians and staff.
