Twenty-five years ago, Montefiore Nyack Hospital established the Elizabeth Brady Lavin Scholarship Fund to honor and recognize Elizabeth’s commitment to the health system and support employees pursuing nursing and healthcare degrees.
Liz passed away in February of 2019, yet her legacy lives on here within the walls at Montefiore Nyack Hospital and our extended community. Your continued support of this important fund will help empower and develop best-in-class nursing professionals and help cultivate the next generation of nursing professionals at Montefiore Nyack Hospital.

Often, patients and their families are touched by the care and dedication of our staff, and ask “What can I do to say thank you?” Our Grateful Patient program provides a special way for you to express gratitude to our healthcare heroes who played a special role in your care. Whether you are a current patient or former patient, this unique program allows you to show appreciation and gratitude for the excellent services received from the Hospital by contributing to the Hospital’s priority funding needs.

Some provide matching funds to support employee volunteer hours. Most of these programs match monetary contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even triple the amount of your gift. Established in 1974, our Tree of Life Wall, located in the Dr. Sheldon & Cynthia Katz Lobby, has helped raise significant funds to help our community Hospital grow and provide the best care to our family, friends and neighbors.
