The Dr. Lawrence Simon Fund for Surgical Excellence and Patient Care continues to make a powerful impact at Montefiore Nyack Hospital, providing critical support for patients receiving care in the Hospital’s Wound Care Center.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of donors, more than six figures have already been raised through the Simon Fund to help ensure that vulnerable patients have access to advanced wound treatments that can significantly improve healing and quality of life.
“Dr. Simon’s extraordinary 53-year tenure represents a level of commitment we may never witness again in the history of Nyack Hospital. His unwavering dedication, clinical excellence, and profound connection to this community embody the very essence of what it means to be a physician,” said Paul Adler, Chair of the Montefiore Nyack Foundation Board. “Supporting the Dr. Simon Fund is more than a tribute to his remarkable legacy—it is a meaningful investment in sustaining the standard of care, compassion, and integrity he has set for generations to follow.”
Many patients treated in the Wound Care Center suffer from complex or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, vascular disease or other serious medical conditions. In many cases, specialized procedures—such as skin grafting and other advanced therapies—are not fully covered by insurance, leaving patients with limited options.
The Simon Fund helps bridge this gap.
Through philanthropic support, the Fund enables Montefiore Nyack Hospital’s clinical team to provide essential treatments that promote healing, prevent complications and restore mobility for patients who might otherwise go without these life-changing interventions.
To recognize the growing community of donors who have helped make this impact possible, the Montefiore Nyack Hospital Foundation will host a special recognition ceremony and unveiling of the Simon Fund Wall, honoring those whose generosity is directly improving the lives of patients in our care.
There is still time to become part of this meaningful initiative!
If you would like to support the Dr. Lawrence Simon Fund for Surgical Excellence and Patient Care and be included on the Simon Fund Wall, please contact Tracie McLee, Executive Director of the Montefiore Nyack Hospital Foundation at (845) 348-2770 or tmclee@montefiorenyack.org.
Together, we are ensuring that every patient—regardless of financial barriers—has access to the advanced care they need to heal.
