Montefiore Nyack Hospital has been a cornerstone of care in our community for generations. Now, through the Hospital’s Transformation Project, we are taking bold steps to ensure that our families, friends and neighbors have access to the very best healthcare—today and for years to come.
The Transformation Project is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s about creating modern, patient-focused spaces that enhance the quality of care, expand critical services and improve the overall hospital experience. From state-of-the-art technology to thoughtfully designed facilities, every detail is being shaped with patients and their loved ones in mind.
Over the past five years, we have successfully completed:
- A state-of-the-art Emergency Department, offering faster, safer emergency care
- A cutting-edge Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center
- A new Ambulatory Surgery Center and 60,000 sq. ft. Orthopedic & Spine Institute (off-site in West Nyack)
- Installation of the Accuray TomoTherapy® Radiation Unit, delivering world-class cancer treatment locally
These advances have already improved outcomes, enhanced access and brought new hope to patients across Rockland County and beyond.
Now, we are embarking on Phase III, the most visible and patient-centered component yet—transforming all semi-private inpatient rooms into modern, private single-bed rooms and reimagining our main entrance into a new Patient & Visitor Reception Center that reflects the quality of care we deliver.
This investment will benefit the entire community by:
- Expanding access to advanced medical services close to home
- Creating more comfortable and efficient spaces for patients and families
- Supporting doctors, nurses and staff with the tools they need to deliver exceptional care
- Strengthening our ability to meet the growing healthcare needs of Rockland County and beyond
