Celebrating 135 Years of Dedication to Montefiore Nyack Hospital
This year, Montefiore Nyack Hospital proudly celebrates an extraordinary milestone shared by three remarkable women whose careers have helped shape the culture and care of our hospital. Catherine “Cathey” Sullivan, Helen Hayes-Perkins and Linda Taff have each dedicated 45 years of service to Montefiore Nyack Hospital — a combined 135 years of commitment to our patients, colleagues and community.
In addition to their professional contributions, Cathey, Helen and Linda are also proud supporters of the Montefiore Nyack Foundation, giving generously of their time, talent and treasure through philanthropic activities that strengthen the hospital and advance our mission of exceptional care close to home.
Catherine “Cathey” Sullivan, MBA, RRT-NPS, RPFT, Director of Respiratory Care, the Pulmonary Lab, EEG and Sleep Center, has spent her career advancing respiratory and diagnostic services at the hospital. A highly respected leader and clinician, Cathey oversees critical respiratory care services that support some of our most vulnerable patients. Known for her reliability and dedication, she is often the first to arrive during inclement weather and plays an important role in the hospital’s emergency activations team. Beyond her professional expertise, Cathey is known as a supportive colleague and friend to many across the organization.
Helen Hayes-Perkins has served Montefiore Nyack Hospital with distinction across several departments during her 45-year career. Her leadership has included roles in Food and Nutrition Services, Administrator of Support Services and Director of Volunteer Services and the Gift Shop. Helen also spearheaded the hospital’s “We Care” standards and implemented the Employee Rewards and Recognition program, initiatives that have helped foster a culture of appreciation and excellence throughout the organization. Her enthusiasm, leadership and dedication continue to make a lasting impact on both staff and the patients we serve.
