Donor Spotlight: Donald and Ursula Vernon

Honoring the Legacy of Donald and Ursula Vernon: A Lasting Gift to the Hospital

We are deeply honored to announce a generous bequest from the family of Donald and Ursula Vernon, a legacy that will have a lasting impact on our hospital and the community it serves. Ursula Vernon, a longtime advocate and former president of the hospital’s auxiliary, played a pivotal role in raising funds to purchase our first-ever CT scan machine, marking a significant advancement in diagnostic care. Her dedication to the hospital has continued to resonate through the years, and this latest gift is a testament to the Vernon family’s commitment to the future of healthcare in our community.

In remembrance of their beloved parents, the Vernons’ daughters, Carol and Lorena, recently visited the Foundation to commemorate their legacy. They expressed their desire for a plaque honoring Donald and Ursula to be placed in the diagnostic suite of the Emergency Department, where cutting-edge diagnostic technology continues to save lives—an area that reflects the passion Ursula had for advancing medical care.

This thoughtful contribution will support vital programs, ensuring that the hospital remains equipped to meet the growing needs of the community. Donald and Ursula’s legacy of generosity and service is a beacon of inspiration, and their impact will be felt for generations to come.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Carol and Lorena Vernon for their continued support and are privileged to honor the Vernon family’s enduring commitment to our hospital’s mission.
