Montefiore Nyack has greatly benefited from S. Lisa Hayes’ generosity, volunteerism and talent for more than a decade. A local resident of Upper Grandview, Lisa wanted to give back and make a difference in her community, where she has lived for more than 25 years. She was introduced in 2011, to then Nyack Hospital, by Mark Jacobs, Montefiore Nyack Foundation’s current Board Chair. Lisa served on the Hospital Board of Trustees from 2011 to 2017 and was also a member of the Foundation Board from 2014 to 2017.

Lisa studied Journalism at the University of Florida and Law at Emory Law School, but became interested in financial planning after investing profits from her own cleaning business she started while in college to pay back her student loans. That was the spark that led her to establish Creative Financial Planning. Located in Baxter Hall on South Broadway in South Nyack, Lisa and her team have helped thousands become financially viable. “If you have a dream, we have a plan,” is Creative Financial Planning’s slogan. Since 1985, Lisa and her team have been helping busy individuals, successful business owners, and growing families keep their finances on track, so that they can focus on achieving their personal and professional goals. “Gratitude turns what we have into enough,” Lisa said. “I am a sharer by nature and this has truly afforded me so many incredible opportunities throughout my career and life. I feel very fortunate to be able to give back to the Hospital and other local charities.”
