We are excited to shine a spotlight on our outstanding Montefiore Nyack Foundation interns, Clara Stapleton and Ylmer Villafana, whose dedication and hard work have made a significant impact on our efforts this year!
Clara Stapleton, a senior at Pearl River High School, brings an inspiring story of family dedication to the table. Over the past decade, the Stapleton family has raised more than $100,000 in honor of Clara’s grandmother to support The Breast Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital. Clara’s involvement in the Foundation is a continuation of her family’s heartfelt efforts to support breast cancer patients and their families. Her work during the Rides & Strides event has demonstrated a deep sense of compassion and a drive to make a difference in our community.
Ylmer Villafana is no stranger to the Montefiore Nyack Hospital community — he and his mother are both part of our hospital family. This connection has fueled Ylmer’s passion for giving back, and his contributions as an intern have been invaluable, especially in supporting this year’s Rides & Strides event. His commitment to helping the Foundation reflects his deep ties to the hospital and its mission. When he is at work at the hospital, Ylmer can be found in the Food & Nutrition department.
Both Clara and Ylmer have played vital roles in the success of this year’s Rides & Strides event and continue to offer their talents in support of the Foundation’s mission. We are so proud of these young leaders, and we look forward to seeing all they will achieve as they continue to contribute to the hospital and our community. Thank you, Clara and Ylmer, for your hard work, dedication and passion!
