3rd Annual Rides & Strides: A Record-Breaking Day of Community and Compassion
On Saturday, October 26th, the Montefiore Nyack Foundation hosted its 3rd Annual Rides & Strides event at Rockland Lake State Park, rallying our community in support of the Breast Center. This year’s event was our largest yet, with over 800 participants registered, more than 600 attending on-site and almost $170,000 raised. Thanks to this community’s commitment, we’ve now achieved nearly half a million dollars in funds over three years!
The day was packed with excitement and energy. Attendees enjoyed complimentary shirts and matching socks in pink Swag Bags donated by Caribbean Food Delights, and a food and water station sponsored by Mercedes Benz of Nanuet, Stop and Shop in New City, Goldberg’s Bagels in New City, PepsiCo and US Foods kept everyone refreshed and ready. The Kids Fun Run was a highlight, complete with face painting, balloon animals and entertainment from Lali the Clown and Friends, bringing smiles to our youngest supporters.

Exciting Raffle Prizes
All Montefiore Nyack Hospital and Highland Medical employees who registered, donated or started a team were entered into a raffle. Congratulations to Florence Latouche from the Lab, who won an overnight stay at Hotel Nyack with breakfast for two, and Andrea Deierlein from the Recovery Center, who won a 55” flatscreen TV.
